  • Take a Trip Back to Colonial Days at the Rackliffe House ~ A 1740s merchant-planter’s home overlooking Assateague Island and scenic Sinepuxent Bay.  This beautiful brick mansion overlooking Sinepuxent Bay at Assateague Island has stood for nearly 300 years witnessing passing Spanish Galleons, Barbary pirate ships, and the Revolutionary War. Now a public museum, Rackliffe House offers a fascinating look into the history of the Eastern Shore.

  • Visit the Burley Oak Brewing Company for tour and tastings ~ Hoist a Pint at the Burley Oak Brewing Company. The brewers at Burley Oak take both their beer, and their planet seriously. That’s why they’ve worked with soil scientists and Eastern Shore farmers to grow indigenous ingredients for their organic Home Grown Ales.   • Visit and tour the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park and Visitor Center ~ The 17-acre Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park and Visitor Center invites visitors to experience Tubman’s world through exhibits that are informative and emotive, providing an in depth understanding of Tubman’s early years spent in Maryland’s Choptank River region and her legacy as a leader, liberator and humanitarian in the resistance movement of the Underground Railroad.

  • Visit and tour the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge ~ Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is home to an incredible amount of plant and animal diversity in its three major habitats – forest, marsh and shallow water. The refuge contains one-third of Maryland’s tidal wetlands, which makes it an ecologically important area within the state. Blackwater NWR is home to the largest natural population of formerly endangered Delmarva peninsula fox squirrels and is also home to the largest breeding population of American bald eagles on the East Coast, north of Florida.  The refuge has been referred to as the “Everglades of the North,” and has been called one of the “Last Great Places” by the Nature Conservancy..
 
  • Visit and tour the Crisfiled, Maryland, the oyster capital of the DelMarVa Eastern Shore.. 
  • Take a ferry trip to Smith Island to tour this historic island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.
